RoundaboutJanuary 19th, 2007
I was almost run over by a car tonight. I was walking back to my apartment with my food, and as I was walking across one of the streets at a roundabout, a car came through without paying attention. I actually dove a little bit to get out of the way. It was a pretty good dive, if I do say so myself; I didn’t even spill my milkshake. The whole incident is somewhat ironic, given that I’d previously posted about pedestrians’ behavior when confronted with a car that wasn’t paying attention. I did at least take my own advice. As it dawned on me that the car wasn’t going to stop, I didn’t try to get their attention and insist on keeping my right of way; I jumped my ass out of the way. Anyway, I’m fine, my food was fine, it all turned out ok. No harm, no foul I suppose. Post a Comment |

Maybe if they lowered the drinking age you wouldn’t have to deal with situations like that
