For the past month or so I’ve been making an effort to write entries on this site as often as I can. I’ve been doing it as kind of an expirement, but also in the hope that it might get me back into writing. I really enjoy the process of writing, but ever since I got a real job, I’ve had trouble doing it regularly. This blog is, in many ways, an attempt to get things started. I’ve always felt, and pretty much every book ever written on the process of writing agrees, that the biggest key to writing is to do it regularly.

I’ve really come to like the process of writing online, not only the freedom of being able to write from any computer with internet access, but also the writing interface itself. Each post is already parsed out as I write it – it has a title, category, body, and so on, and the formatting of each is kept completely separate from the actual content. It winds up being a very clean system, and I find myself wondering if there’s something similar I could set up for writing short stories. If not, it might be a fun project that I could try to create myself.
